Joshua George

Mr Joshua George joined SAIACS as a student in June 2014 and was recruited as a teaching trainee in 2017. He is currently a teaching trainee in the department of Pastoral Theology and Counselling while completing his thesis, an action research project to develop a congregation-specific, small-group model in an urban congregation.

 

During his time at SAIACS, Mr George has taught classes in field research methods and critical thinking, an introduction to pastoral theology and care, and the integration between psychology and theology.

 

Mr George also has been involved in pastoral ministry and leadership roles in the church for the last ten years, and has been a trainer in the Newfrontiers group of churches for the last twelve years. He was a Tearfund Asia region consultant in a global research project on issues in gender theology in 2018. Before joining church ministry full-time, he worked in human resources in the IT company Accenture and TCS.

 

Mr George is married to Priyanka and they have three small children.
