The SAIACS Centre for Religion & Inter-Cultural Studies (CRICS) is an exciting kingdom initiative that seeks to help equip the church to engage the world in a creative, contextual and compassionate way. SAIACS CRICS helps the institute better achieve its mission and vision through doing more than formal academic on-campus education.

According to Dr Prabhu Singh, principal of SAIACS, the founding director of CRICS, and a trained missiological anthropologist with a PhD in Intercultural Studies, SAIACS CRICS “will provide a platform for Christian academicians and field practitioners to collaborate on ministry issues, engage in quality research, form strategic think tanks, and offer cutting-edge contextual training to further the gospel innovatively.”

Key issues include discipleship, attrition among new believers, lack of biblical literacy, inadequate development of new leaders, and contextual challenges like persecution and poverty.

• Train Christian leaders through residential academic programs at SAIACS and flexible field training, specialized seminars, conferences, and consultations.
• Research relevant issues that help shape our strategies for ministries.
• Foster innovative ministries through the creative arts, media, and technologies.
• Network with various churches, ministries, and seminaries.
• Develop ministry-related resources like journals, books, curriculum, and ministry archives to inform and equip the body of Christ.

• The Christward Movements Research Project seeks to understand the emergence of new Christward movements among various cultural communities in North India. We want to help by understanding the historical, political, social, cultural, and religious movements, and the distinctive nature of these movements.
• Christ and Cultures Seminars seek to educate the church to incarnate the gospel among diverse cultures so that the emergent indigenous Christianity would be rooted in Christ and relevant to the local cultural context.
• Contextual field training aims to provide informal theological training through a flexible mode.
