Student Housing
SAIACS provides housing on campus for many of its residential-programme students. Accommodations are available for both single students and families.
The Men’s Residence Hall (MRH) and Lydia Hall (LH), the women’s hostel, are both just steps away from the Institute Building, library, and student centre, where the Commons is located. Both halls feature fully furnished rooms, a shared kitchenette area, and laundry facilities.
Preference for single-room occupancy will be given to students completing PhD, MTh and MA degrees; MA (Adv) and Pre-MTh students may be offered a twin-share room or may find their own accommodation off-campus.
Family apartments are allotted to students upon request on a space-available basis. The single- and double-bedroom apartments are supplied with dining, living room, and bedroom furnishings. SAIACS does not guarantee allotment of family housing to any student who gets married during the course of their programme. Preference for apartment accommodation will be given to students doing PhD, MTh and MA degrees.
In the event the residence halls are full, SAIACS will accept single students on the basis that they share a family apartment for their first year of study.
SAIACS does not guarantee student on-campus accommodation beyond two years. An application must be made in writing to the Chief Administrative Officer for consideration for on-campus housing exceeding two years.
